Youth Ministries

Please join us for our Youth & Parents’ dinner meeting on Sunday, January 23rd at 5:00 pm!

The youth meet on Sunday evenings from 5:00-7:00 pm. The meetings begin with dinner together, and then we go to the youth room for our Joy, Junk, and Jesus sharing time. After we’ve all had a chance to share with each other, we will do a group activity or a game that relates to our message of the evening. Once we’ve completed our activity, we will read the scripture focus and discuss the correlation of our activity with the scripture lesson. This is a great time for us to hear different thoughts and perspectives of how the scriptures relate to what’s happening in our lives! During the last fifteen minutes of our evening, the youth divide into breakout groups and have a discussion time with different members of our church family. We close in prayer together.

Joy – What is something that happened this week that made you happy?

Junk What is something that happened this week that bummed you out? How can we pray for you?

JesusWhere did you see Jesus working throughout your week? Did you have any moments that made you feel close to God?

During the summer, they attend Passport Camp for a week hosted through Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Camp takes place at a college and they stay in the dorms for the week. Meals are also provided for the groups on campus. This is a week of Bible study, mission opportunities, small group rotations, worship, and evening parties! It’s a great week to not only grow closer to God but also with each other.

We are currently planning a mission trip in July to the Conetoe Family Life Center. This is a mission opportunity through Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. The youth also help with local community missions throughout the year.

We would love for you to come be a part of our group! All students in 6th – 12th grade are invited to join our activities. This is a welcoming and safe environment for all individuals to form a relationship with God and grow together in faith.

      1. Thanks. I saw only Aug 2018 on calendar. Please advise to email for registration options. I have 5 kids who go to Woodland Discovery nearby. Thanks.
