Habitat for Humanity

Sign up to work on a project with Habitat for Humanity in the back of the sanctuary. Ten volunteers are needed on Saturday, May 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Anyone can do the work that we have been assigned. See Donna Duncan or Winfry Whicker with questions.

J.O.Y. Club ham breakfast

On Thursday, May 10, at J.O.Y. Club, we will be celebrating National Seniors Month with the annual country ham breakfast (brunch). All of you are invited to join in the celebration by attending J.O.Y. Club at 11:00 a.m. for a delicious meal especially prepared by some of our “cooks.”

McGill Scholarships

Scholarship applications are available on the table outside of Paul’s office or online. The deadline to return the completed applications is May 20. The scholarships will be awarded on Graduate Sunday, June 3, at the 10:45 service. Completed scholarship can be left in the box outside Paul’s office. Please call the church office if you are graduating.

A concert will be held on the lawn on Saturday, May 12, at 6 p.m. Come enjoy music by Brain Trust and the McGill McPickers, food and fellowship.

Muffins for Moms on Mother’s Day, May 13, at 9:15 a.m., between worship services.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child for April: Small stuffed animals and plastic cups (remember it needs to all fit in the shoebox). May: Small toys or games. (Ages are 2-4, 5-9 and 10-13.)

Spring Concert

Piedmont Choral Society Spring Concert is today, May 6, at 3 p.m. at Forest Hill UMC 265 Union Street. Cabarrus County’s 50-voice community choir will present its annual Spring Concert “An American Choral Landscape” (Shenandoah, Spirituals, Hymn Settings and more). The concert is free! Support your local arts.
