Documentary ‘Resilience’

You are invited to a free community event at the Gem Theater in Kannapolis. There will be a film screening and panel discussion of the documentary Resilience on Tuesday, April 17, from 9 am-11 am and 6 pm-8 pm. Resilience is a one-hour documentary that delves into the science of Adverse Childhood Experiences and the birth of a new movement to treat and prevent Toxic Stress.

Charlotte 49ers spring football

Delta Sigma Theta health fair

The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is hosting a Health Fair at McGill on Saturday, April 28, from 10 am to 1 pm. This year Novant Health will provide free screenings with same day results and a counselor. The Health Fair will provide a valuable service to our community.  Call 336-277-1880 or email communitywellness@novanthealth.org .Included in the screenings are body mass index, blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, triglycerides  and hemoglobin A1C. You can also learn the basics of Bleeding Control-Stop the Bleed Save a Life.
