Dr. Steve Ayers delivers the sermon “The Measure You Give” today, Feb. 24, with scriptures from Psalm 37:1-11, 39-40 and Luke 6:27-38. Mandy Ashley is the deacon of the week. She will read the Old Testament scripture and have the morning prayer.

Blood drive Monday

The Blood Drive is tomorrow, Monday, February 25 from 4-7 p.m. Sign up in the back of the sanctuary or you are welcome to walk in when you can tomorrow. All the blood donated is used locally.

Dementia workshop

A dementia workshop will be held at McGill on Saturday March 2 from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and on March 9 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Call 800-272-3900 or go to communityresourcefinder.org to register.  The program is open to individuals with recent diagnosis and early stage Alzheimer’s and related dementia diseases and their families and caregivers. Experts in legal/financial planning, home environment and safety, transitioning and government services will be available to share tips. Sessions are free and include lunch.

College student care packages

March 3 the M & M’s will meet to prepare care packages for our college students. See Jordan Plemmons if you have a question.

McGill barbecue

The 13th annual BBQ is on March 29 from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Jim Avett will once again entertain at noon and 5:30 p.m. The proceeds fund local and global ministries in which McGill participates.  If you have items in the freezer or refrigerator, please remove them by March 22. See Bruce Arrowood if you would like to purchase BBQ.
