Youth meeting

The Youth Council will meet today (Sunday, Sept. 17) at 5 p.m. Parents are asked to sign up for Sunday night suppers for the youth. Sign up sheet is outside the youth room

Operation Christmas Child

Items for Operation Christmas Child in September-Small Games. A packing party for Operation Christmas Child is on Sunday, November 5, from 9:30-11:30 for school age children.

Sweet potato harvest volunteers

Sweet potatoes will be harvested Saturday, September 23, unless the soil is too wet. Sweet potatoes are a good source of nutrition and have been a major crop since McGill first began the garden. That Saturday is also a UNCC football concession day.  Many who would normally volunteer at the Farm will be working the game, so we need others to step forward and fill the gap.  If you are considering volunteering at the Farm, sign up today following worship.

The budget process

The Finance and Stewardship Committee will receive budget requests at a meeting on September 25 at 7 p.m.

Fall Festival

The Fall Festival is on October 27 beginning at 6 p.m. Orange tubs are at the exits of the church. Please help fill them with wrapped candy for this fun night. If you’d like to help please see Erin Currie or email her at erin@curriecreations.com.

Race Together

Race Together, an engaging and informative series, will be held at McGill each Sunday afternoon from 3-5 through October 15.  You can email Wendy McConnell at RaceTogetherSeries@gmail.com to enroll. This 6-week series will shed light on historical and social context leading to our current racial situation.
