Dr. Steve Ayers’ sermon title today, Sunday, Nov. 4, is “Making All Things New”. Scritpures come from Isaiah 25:6-9 and Revelation 21:1-6a. Chuck Broadway is the deacon of the week. He will read the Old Testament scripture and have the morning prayer.
2019 Budget Discussion
On Sunday, November 11, at 6 p.m., you are asked to attend a meeting to discuss the 2019 budget. On November 18, at both worship services, the budget will be voted on without discussion.
Special music at J.O.Y. Club
You are all invited to the JOY Club meeting on Thursday, November 8 at 11:00 a.m. We will celebrate Thanksgiving with a traditional meal of turkey and trimmings. Sarah Baumgardner will be entertaining us with a variety of music. Sarah moved to NC in 2016 from Harrisburg, PA and now lives in Harrisburg NC. She is a professional singer, a minister and author. She will have a $10.00 CD for sale of some of her vocal selections. Come welcome this lovely young woman to our church and enjoy her beautiful voice.
Disaster relief efforts
If you would like to donate to help those who are affected by the hurricanes, you may do so by noting on your offering envelope or check “CBF Hurricane Relief”.
Operation Christmas Child
Shoeboxes are available in the lobby for Operation Christmas Child. They need to be returned to the church by November 11.
Children’s coat drive
We are collecting new or gently used coats for boys and girls from preschool to elementary school ages. Sizes most needed are 6, 7, 8 for boys and girls. Also needed is new socks and underwear. There is a box in the lobby to collect your gifts.
Marys & Marthas Church mice
The M & M (Marys and Marthas) are collecting $10 Wal-Mart gift cards. Please leave them in the basket in the library. Today we will meet and do church “mouse” notes.

Race Together is an engaging and informative 6-week community series for those that would like to discover more on the topic of race in the U.S. Classes will be here on Sunday afternoons from 3-5 through November 11.
