How do we know Jesus?

Dr Steve Ayers will deliver the sermon with scriptures from Psalm 116:1-4, 12-19 and Luke 24:13-35. Kim Lyda is the deacon of the week. She will read the Old Testament scripture and lead the morning prayer.

The J.O.Y. Club meeting

The J.O.Y. Club will have their monthly luncheon on Thursday, May 11, at 11 a.m.

McGill Yard Sale

The yard sale is on May 13 from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. BBQ, hot dogs and ham biscuits will be sold. Help is needed Wednesday afternoon, May 10, to unload the trailer. Help will be needed at 5 a.m. on May 13 to take the merchandise out to the front lawn for the sale. Please see Maria Arrowood if you can help. Keys for the trailer are in Patsy’s office.

McGill Scholarships

Scholarship applications are available in the lobby or online. The deadline to return your application is May 14. Scholarships will be awarded on Graduate Sunday, June 4.

Operation Christmas Child

Items for Operation Christmas Child:  May: Small stuffed animals.Our goal is to fill 100 shoeboxes this year.

Brunswick Stew available

Brunswick Stew will be available the first of May. There are one pound and five pound bags of BBQ available now. See Bruce Arrowood if you’d like to purchase some.

Race Together

Race Together is a 6-part series from May 15 through June 26 from 6-8 p.m. at McGill. The series is led by Mrs. Wendy McConnell.
