Dr. Steve Ayers delivers the sermon, The Lord Looks on the Heart, this morning, Father’s Day, June 17, 2018. Carolyn Guess is the deacon of the week. She will read the New Testament scripture and have the morning prayer. Scriptures are from 2 Corinthians 5:6-17 and I Samuel 15:34-16:13.

Morris anniversary flowers

The flowers today are given with love on the 57th wedding anniversary of Gene and Frances Morris by Susan, Alec, Bill, Tracie and Lea.

Deacon nominating

The Deacon Nominating process ends today.  Please use a blue ballot you will find in the lobby to recommend six people.

Donuts for Dads

We will celebrate Father’s Day today with “Donuts for Dad” between services at 9:15 a.m.

Arkansas missions meeting

There will be a meeting of those going to Arkansas on Sunday, June 24, at 9:30 a.m. You can participate in this mission trip by bringing spray sunscreen, beach towels and totes for the group to take to Arkansas.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child for June: reusable shopping bags, deodorant, character band aids, chap stick. (Ages are 2-4, 5-9 and 10-13)

Turn off the lights and lock the door

Please be sure and turn out all lights and lock the outside doors if you are the last to leave the building.

Patriotic concert

The Piedmont Choral Society will present “All Patriotic Music” on Thursday, June 21, at 7 p.m. at Forest Hill UMC which will benefit Habitat for Humanity.  Concerts will also be presented at Pitts Baptist Church on Friday, June 22, at 7 p.m. and at Living Water Church of God in Kannapolis at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 24.
