Dr. Steve Ayers delivers the sermon “An Epiphany” on Sunday, Feb. 3, with scriptures from Jeremiah 1:4:10 and I Corinthians 13:1-13. Joe Anderson is the deacon of the week. He will read the Old Testament lesson and have the morning prayer.

Children to splash pad

Calling all children and parents! Come to Ray’s Splash Planet today from 2:30 to 4:30. The cost is $8 for kids, $11 for adults and $5 for non-swimmers. Don’t forget a towel and change of clothes. 

Care packages for shut-ins

Today at 5 p.m. we are making Valentine care-packages for the shuts-ins. Come help pack or let us know if you can deliver a package.  March 3rd we’ll make the final care-packages for colleges students.  

McGill Biscuit Bake Off

The Biscuit Bake Off will be on Saturday, February 9, at 10 a.m. Come and enjoy brunch with all the trimmings. Biscuits will be made by Ken Ayers, Vinnie Farrell, Steve Harrill and Darrel Huskey.

J.O.Y. Club meeting

You all are invited to come out to JOY CLUB on Valentine’s Day, Thursday, February 14 at 11:00 AM. We will be served a delicious country luncheon of pintos, greens and cornbread. Our program will be given by Jeff Page, a karaoke singer. Jeff goes to Brookdale Assisted Living Center weekly to sing for the residents. He enjoys singing in the adult choir at Loves Grove UMC in Stanfield. He will sing popular songs from the fifties, sixties and 70’s.

Valentine’s Banquet

The Valentine Banquet is on February 15 at 7 p.m. Come and enjoy the food, fun and fellowship. Tickets are on sale Sunday.

Children’s Missions Program

The children on Wednesday night each week learn about our field personnel in other countries. Bring your children to be a part of this study. Talk to Susan Pollack if you have questions.

Recycle card

Bring your greeting cards to the church to be sent to Earth Inspired Crafts and Education to be repurposed for nursing homes, homeless shelters, children’s hospitals, veterans’ hospitals and service men and women overseas. There is a box in the lobby.

Preparing for barbecue

See Bruce Arrowood if you would like to purchase BBQ or help with upcoming BBQ on March 29. If you have items in the freezer or refrigerator, please remove them by March 22.
