Dr. Steve Ayers delivered the sermon today, Oct. 8, 2017. The scriptures come from Exodus 20:1-4, 7-9 12-20 and Philippians 3:4b-14. Dan Philbeck is the deacon of the week. He will read the Old Testament scripture and have the morning prayer.

The J.O.Y. Club Meeting
The J.O.Y. Club will meet on Thursday, October 12, at 11 a.m. Guest speaker will be Norman Franklin from the City of Concord Fire Marshall’s Office. He will speak on fire prevention in the home.
Fruitcake Factory trip
You are invited to go to the Southern Supreme Fruitcake Factory in Bear Creek on Saturday, October 14. The church bus will leave at 8:30 a.m.
The CROP Walk
The CROP Walk is next Sunday, October 15, beginning at 2 p.m. See Robert Kluttz if you would like to walk or to sponsor a walker.
McGill Supper Club outing

Youth to the Amazing Maize Maze
The Youth will go to Huntersville on October 22 to the Amazing Maize Maze right after Sunday School. Bring a change of clothes and comfortable walking shoes. Bring $12 for the Maize and money for lunch.

Church mice needed

Operation Christmas Child
The children will make cards this month for the Christmas shoeboxes. A packing party for will be on Sunday, November 5, from 9:30-11:30 for school age children.
