Dr. Steve Ayers delivers the sermon today, Sunday, Dec. 10. Bruce Arrowood is the deacon of the week. He will read the Old Testament scripture and have the morning prayer.
Global Missions Offering
You can share the love of Christ with the world by contributing to the CBF Offering for Global Missions. The church goal is $5,000.00.
The Littlest Angel
The children will present “The Littlest Angel” tonight, Sunday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m. Please bring finger foods to share after the program.
McGill Post Office
You can “mail” your Christmas card to our active church members for 25 cents per card through December 17. Cards can be left in the lobby and will be distributed to Sunday School classes. All money collected will help our children’s missions.
J.O.Y. Club meeting
The J.O.Y. Club meets this Thursday, December 14, at 11 am. You are invited to enjoy lunch and sing carols led by Steve and Robin Harrill.
Christmas poke assembly
Christmas pokes will be assembled on Saturday, December 23 at 10 pm.
Christmas Eve services
On Sunday, December 24, worship services and Sunday School will be at the regular times. The Christmas Eve Services are at 6 pm and 11 pm.
Coat and toy drives
The Joint Missions Council is collecting gently worn or new coats for children up to size 12 and socks and underwear for preschoolers. We will also collect new toys for the Empty Stocking Fund. Tubs are in the lobby.
End of year giving
Donations for 2017 must be postmarked December 30, 2017 or given during worship services in December to receive credit for 2017. They can also be delivered to the church.
Christmas concert today
The Piedmont Choral Society will present its annual Christmas concert with an orchestra today, Sunday, Dec. 10, at 3 p.m. at Forest Hill United Methodist Church. A reception will follow.
