Dr. Steve Ayers will deliver the sermon with scriptures from Psalms 42 and 43 and Luke 8:26-39. Meredith Farrell is the deacon of the week. She will read the Old Testament scripture and lead the morning prayer. The Men’s Chorus will sing the morning anthem God of Grace and God of Glory.

Samaritan’s Feet volunteers needed
Please sign up today with Donna Duncan to participate in Samaritan’s Feet, a shoe distribution for children and youth, to be held on August 13, from 10 a.m. til 1 p.m. The location will be the Logan Recreation Center in Concord.
Arkansas Mission trip needs
The youth will go to Arkansas July 8-16. The following items are needed: puzzles, beach towels, bags with handles and sunscreen spray 30 or higher. Please bring all donations to the church by June 26.
Celebrate America concerts
Celebrate America with a benefit concert for Present Age Ministries “Hannah’s House” will be presented by the Piedmont Choral Society on Thursday, June 23, at 7 p.m. at Forest Hill United Methodist Church in Concord. Other concert dates are Friday, June 24 at 7 at Forest Hill and Sunday, June 26, at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Concord. Service personnel and their families will be honored during this all patriotic concert.

Sunday Youth Schedule
The youth start back on their Sunday night schedule tonight. The schedule is handbells at 5:30; supper at 6:15; and youth gathering from 6:45-7:45.
Yard sale is September 19
If you have items you need to donate please wait until Wednesday through Friday of this week and bring them into the sanctuary since the trailer is almost full. Volunteers are needed to unload the trailer on Wednesday before the yard sale, to sort and price donations and work Saturday. See Bruce or Maria Arrowood if you can help.
A congregational meeting will be next Sunday, Sept. 20, during the Sunday School time at 9:30.
Youth Council meeting
The Youth Council will meet Sunday, September 20, at 4:30 pm.
Feeding Cabarrus Children
Feeding Cabarrus Children will be having a pancake breakfast at Applebee’s in Concord on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 7:30-10 a.m. to raise funds to help the Cabarrus County Backpack Coalition fight hunger in our school and county.
