The Rev. Chris Harbin will deliver the sermon in Dr. Steve Ayers’ absence. Kim Lyda is the Deacon of the Week. She will read the New Testament scripture and lead the morning prayer.

The Fall Festival is on Friday, Oct. 30, from 6:00-8:00 pm. Please bring wrapped candy to be used that night as prizes. It will be fun-invite your friends.

Daylight Saving Time ends next Sunday, Nov. 1. Fall back.

An Advanced Care Planning Workshop will be held on Sunday, Nov. 1, from 3 to 5 pm, in the sanctuary. Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County is hosting the free workshop on creating healthcare documents for your future. You will be able to complete a Living Will or Healthcare Power of Attorney and have it notarized at no charge at the workshop.

Samaritans Purse Shoe Boxes are available in the Media Center. Inside each box is directions on what can be used to fill the box along with labels to be taped to the outside of the box designating whether the gift is for a boy or girl and their age. Please return the filled boxes by Nov. 15.

The Piedmont Choral Society hosts its 6th Annual Old Fashioned Hymn Sings of older, beloved hymns and hymn stories on Sunday, Nov. 15, at 3 p.m. at Forest Hill United Methodist Church. The program is free. Please bring a canned good for CCM. A reception will follow.
