Oct. 16: A Covenant of the Heart

Dr. Steve Ayers will deliver the message with scriptures from Jeremiah 31:27-34 and  Luke 18:1-8. Chuck Broadway is the Deacon of the Week. He will read the Old Testament scripture and have the morning prayer.

Alzheimer’s Association

We welcome to our service today the Alzheimer’s Association of Western Carolina Chapter. They will present a gift from the E Noodle fund raiser in honor of Mrs. Janet Ayers.

Youth outing

The youth will go to Carrigan’s Farm on today for a hayride and cookout. See Paul if you would like to go. Cost is $12.00.

‘Old Fashioned Hymn Sing’

The 50-voice Piedmont Choral Society will present its annual “Old Fashioned Hymn Sing” today at 3 p.m. at Forest Hill United Methodist Church, 265 Union Street North, Concord.  The free event will feature older traditional, beloved hymns as well as several anthems by the choir.  There will be lots of audience participation with hymn requests and group singing.  Please bring canned goods for Cooperative Christian Ministry.

Christen’s pumpkin patch

The Children’s Ministry is sponsoring a trip to the Pumpkin Patch at Riverbend Farm on Saturday, October 22. Meet there at 3:30. If you would like to eat at the Fresh House Restaurant that day please sign up with Paul.

CROP Walk

The CROP Walk is next Sunday, October 23. It will begin at 2 pm at Kimball Lutheran Church in Kannapolis. Please see Robert Kluttz today if you would like a donor packet or to sponsor a walker.

Fall Festival

The Fall Festival will be on Friday, October 28, from 6-8 pm. Please bring wrapped candy to be used as prizes and leave in the orange containers at the outside doors. If you would like to volunteer to help, please see Londa Carroll or Regis McLean.
