Dr. Steve Ayers will deliver the sermon “What Must We Do?” Scriptures will be from Amos 5:6-7, 10-15 and Mark 10:17-31. Bob Hathcock is the Deacon of the Week. He will read the Old Testament scripture and have the morning prayer.

The Youth will go to the Amazing Maize Maze after Sunday School today. They should return around 4 p.m.

Samaritans Purse Shoe Boxes are available today. Inside each box is directions on what can be used to fill the box along with labels to be taped to the outside of the box designating whether the gift is for a boy or girl and their age.

The CROP Walk is Sunday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill Methodist Church in Concord. Donor packets will be available in the back of the worship hall. If you cannot walk please find someone that you can sponsor.

Church council meets on Monday, Oct. 19, at 7 p.m.

The Finance Committee will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 20, to prepare the budget for 2016. Please bring your request if you are a committee chairman at 7 p.m.

The Piedmont Choral Society hosts its 6th annual “Old Fashioned Hymn Sing” of older, beloved hymns and hymn stories on Sunday, Nov. 15, at 3 p.m. at Forest Hill United Methodist Church. The program is free. Please bring a canned good for CCM. A reception will follow.
