Dr. Steve Ayers delivers the sermon with scriptures from Isaiah 65:17-25 and Luke 21:1-9. Bob Hathcock is the Deacon of the Week. He will read the Old Testament scripture and have the morning prayer.
The Church Budget
The 2017 budget presentation and discussion will be tonight at 6 p.m. The budget will be adopted at both services will be on November 20.
Christmas Post Office
The McGill Christmas Post Office is coming soon! Let us “deliver” your Christmas holiday cards for only 25¢ each to active members of McGill Baptist Church. We will begin accepting cards on Sunday, November 20th and begin delivery on Sunday, November 27th. The final day of operation will be Sunday, December 18th. All money donated will go towards Children’s Missions.
Passport meeting
There will be a brief PassportChoices information meeting Sunday, November 20, at 9:30.
Christmas poinsettia
Envelopes are available on the table outside of Paul’s office to purchase a poinsettia in honor or in memory of a loved one during Advent. The cost is $12. Please leave your fully completed envelope and check in the box provided. The last day to order is Sunday, November 20.
Winter coats/clothing
We are collecting new and gently used coats for children up to size 10. We are also requesting pre-packaged socks and underwear for preschool aged children. There is a collection box in the lobby.
Hurricane Matthew relief
The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship is taking donations for Hurricane Matthew relief for those who have been devastated by this disaster. You may donate to this fund by making your check to McGill and designate it for CBFNC Hurricane Matthew relief.
