Dr Steve Ayers will deliver the sermon with scriptures from Luke 15:1-3, 11b-32  and Psalm 32 . Kim Lyda is the deacon of the week. She will read the Old Testament lesson and have the morning prayer.

Global Missions goal

The CBF Easter Global Missions Offering is being received through Easter Sunday. The offering supports all field personnel. McGill’s goal is $4000.

Youth Deadline

Today is the deadline for youth to sign up for the spring retreat at Awanita Valley. Deposit is $25.00. See Paul today.

J.O.Y. Club meeting

The J.O.Y. Club meets on Thursday at 11 a.m. The program will be the renowned accordionist, Jerry Goodman. Jerry has been here before and he is the best! Come hear Jerry play Irish music as we celebrate St. Paddy’s Day!

McGill Barbecue

The 10th annual BBQ will be on Friday, March 18, from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Jim Avett will perform at noon and at 5:30 p.m. Please see Bruce to buy or sell tickets or to volunteer to work. Proceeds help fund mission work at McGill.

If you have food items or drinks in the refrigerator or freezer in the kitchen or the McCoy classroom please remove them before this Friday, March 11.

Baked goods are also needed for the BBQ. Refrigerated desserts are welcome but since refrigerated space is limited please let Trena Goodnight or Debbie Mullis know. If possible please have your desserts to the McCoy Sunday School Classroom by Thursday, March 17.

Senior Adult Appreciation meal

The youth will host a Senior Adult Appreciation meal on Sunday, March 13, at 5:30. There is no charge for the meal. Come and get to know our youth.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Sunday, March 20, from 2-3:30 children preschool-3rd grade will have a fun afternoon at the annual Egg Hunt. Please bring your own basket.

Ladies Retreat

The ladies’ retreat is April 8-9 at the Brantley Center located on the campus of The Children’s Home, Winston Salem NC.  Our discussions and study will be using a book by Joanna Weaver, “Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World…Finding Intimacy with God in the Busyness of Life.”  Sign up begins today, and the cost is $60.
