This Sunday, we will light the candle of Love. A member of our church family, Ed Goodnight, wrote a wonderful poem.
The Candle of Love
Love is the strength that binds us as one.
Love is forever; it is never undone.
Love is the bridge that for all time does span.
Love was with God before time began.
Mark Caton is the deacon of the week and will read Micah 5:2-5a. We will also hear scripture lessons from Hebrews 10:5-10 and Luke 1:39-55.
Our global missions offering continues this week with our CBF field personnel, Karen Morrow, in Texas. Our mission video features Rosalie, who relocated to Texas from Congo. We will hear her story and about her connection with Karen. The church’s goal is to collect $5,000 in financial gifts to support our CBF field personnel and their ministries all around the world. Visit the Giving tab to make a contribution.
We are currently taking donations of new or gently used coats for the Cabarrus Partnership for Children. There is a blue tub in our lobby where you can drop off these winter coats. All coats will be distributed to children in the community!
You’re invited to join us for our Christmas Eve services at 6:00pm or 11:00pm. Our yearly tradition is to share Christmas pokes with everyone at the end of each service. If you’d like to help pack the pokes, we will meet on December 24th at 10:00am to have a packing party.
