Dr. Steve Ayers will deliver the sermon with scriptures from I Corinthians 13:1-13 and Jeremiah 1:4-10. Earnie Hartsell is the Deacon of the Week. He will read the Old Testament lesson and have the morning prayer.

Big Game Party

You are invited to come to the church and watch the Super Bowl on February 7 at 6 p.m. Please bring snacks and a soft drink to share.

The Greatest Story Ever Retold

Tickets will be on sale today for “The Greatest Story Ever Retold”, the Cotton Patch Gospel. Cost is $12.00.  It will be presented on Friday, February 19, and Saturday, February 20, at 7 p.m. Pork chops, pinto beans, greens, cornbread, apple pie and banana pudding will be served.  On Sunday, February 21, there will be a matinee performance at 3 p.m. with no meal. Tickets are $5.00.

No 3 and 4 years Wednesday

This Wednesday night the 3 and 4 year old mission group and choir will not meet.

Barbecue meeting

There is an important BBQ meeting scheduled for Monday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Conference Room. Please call Bruce if you have questions. The BBQ is on Friday, March 18.

Marys & Marthas

All ladies are asked to join us for “Still Becoming…” an afternoon of tea and fun on Sunday, Feb. 28, at 3:00, hosted by the M&Ms.

Recycle cards

St. Jude’s Ranch for Children recycles your used greeting cards and creates new holiday and all-occasion greeting cards. Deposit your cards in the box in the foyer. McGill missions will prepare the cards and mail to St. Jude’s.

Chrismon classes

Beginning in February the Piedmont Garden Warehouse in Salisbury will schedule classes to make the gold beads and pearl Christian symbols for display on Chrismon Trees. If you are interested you can call 704-636-7790 or go to their website and be placed on their mailing list to be notified when classes will be held.

Children’s Concert

The Piedmont Prime Time Community Band will present a Children’s Concert on Saturday, Feb. 13, at 10:00 a.m. at the Gem Theatre in downtown Kannapolis.  Children of all ages are invited, but younger children must be accompanied by an adult.  There is no admission charge.  For more information go to our website at www.primetimeband.org.
