Dr. Steve Ayers delivers the sermon today, March 4, with scriptures from Psalm 19 and I Corinthians 1:18-25. Dan Philbeck is the deacon of the week. He will read the Old Testament scripture and have the morning prayer.

Easter Offering

Today we will begin receiving the Easter offering and continue through each Sunday during Lent. Our church’s goal is $3000. “There are missionaries (field personnel) – many serving in some of the toughest situations imaginable around the world and right here at home – that rely on your faithful generosity. These are missionaries you pray for and support, and they are sharing the Gospel right now because of your generosity”.

Time change coming

Daylight Saving Time begins next Sunday, March 11.

J.O.Y. Club meeting

The monthly meeting of the J.O.Y. CLUB will be held on Thursday, March 8, at 11:00 a.m.  St. Patrick’s Day is the theme, and we will have as our guests, Randy Childress and Kay Yates. They will entertain us with Irish popular tunes and hymns written by Irish composers. Hope you will come and give a big welcome to Randy and Kay! You can dress IRISH if you like.

Church Council meeting

The Church Council will meet on Monday, March 19, at 7 p.m.

McGill Barbecue coming

The 12th annual BBQ is March 23. Help is needed. Please turn in any BBQ ticket money you have collected to Bruce Arrowood.

Please see Trena Goodnight or Linda Ramseur if you can donate a dessert. Refrigerated desserts are welcomed. You can bring your dessert to the Journey Classroom on March 22.

Please remove anything your group has left in the refrigerator or the freezer in preparation for the BBQ by March 12.

Children’s Easter Egg hunt

An egg hunt for children preschool to 3rd grade will be on March 25 from 2-3:30 p.m.
