Feb. 28: Still Becoming

Live streaming video by Ustream
We are excited today to celebrate the ministry of the women in our congregation. This celebration coincides with a greater celebration of the gifts of preaching women by Baptist Women in Ministry. The Rev. Karen Harbin will share her special gifts with us as will many of our women deacons and leaders during both services. Donna Duncan is the Deacon of the Week and will read the Old Testament scriptures and lead the morning prayer. Today’s scriptures come from Exodus 3:1-15 and Luke 13:1-9. The Women’s Choir will perform the morning anthem “For Women of Old and Women Today.”

The flowers today are in memory of David Piatt on his 68th birthday on February 26 by Keith Joyce.

Women’s Tea today

“Still Becoming…” is an afternoon of tea and fun today at 3:00, hosted by the Marys and Marthas. This year our theme comes from the children’s book “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle. Dress is casual.
