Dr. Steve Ayers delivers the sermon “Doing Good!” on Sunday, Feb. 9, with scriptures from Isaiah 58:1-12 and Matthew 5:13-20. Harold Wright will read the Old Testament lesson and have the morning prayer.
Tuesday Bible study
Tuesday Bible Study Group will meet this Tuesday. They are beginning a study on the book, The Walk, by Adam Hamilton.
J.O.Y. Club meeting
Lindsay Karbach will present our program for J.O.Y. Club on Thursday, February 13, at 11 a.m. She will sing and lead us in some love songs from the past and present. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall and have lunch. All are invited to attend and celebrate Valentine’s Day!
Valentine Banquet
Tickets are available now for the Valentine Banquet that will be on Friday, February 14, at 7 p.m. Come enjoy the fellowship, food and bingo. See Erin Currie for tickets.
A Day of Service
The Venture Crew, McGill Youth and the Scout Troops are planning a day of service on February 15. They can do chores or household tasks/repairs for those who need help. There is no charge to those who sign up. Sign up sheets are on the table in the lobby or on the back of the February calendar you received in the newsletter.
Youth Lock-in
The Youth will have a lock-in beginning at 6 p.m. on February 21 and ending at 9 a.m. on February 22.
Hot Dog Help Needed
Help is needed to deliver hot dogs on Friday’s between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Help is also needed in the dining area. Desserts that are needed are anything chocolate and coca cola cake, pound cake (plain or iced), banana pudding, or pecan pie. See Winfry Whicker if you can help with any of these needs.
