Operation Christmas Child

Items for Operation Christmas Child in August-School Supplies, September-Small Games. A packing party for Operation Christmas Child is on Sunday, November 5, from 9:30-11:30 for school age children.

Share the Harvest Farm volunteers needed

Sweet potatoes will be harvested Saturday, September 23, unless the soil is too wet. Sweet potatoes are a good source of nutrition and have been a major crop since McGill first began the garden. That Saturday is also a UNCC football concession day.  Many who would normally volunteer at the Farm will be working the game, so we need others to step forward and fill the gap.  If you are considering volunteering at the Farm, sign up today following worship.

Wednesday activities begin Sept. 6

Wednesday night missions and music will begin on September 6. Please refer to the schedule that was mailed with your September calendar.

Nursery volunteers needed

The nursery is one of the first places many visitors see. Help us make a good impression by volunteering for one Sunday every other month (or being an alternate). We have a real need for the baby and the toddler rooms for both services.  See Jordan Plemmons for the 8:30 a.m. service or Melinda Wolanin for the 10:45 service.

Charlotte 49ers concessions

See Jaime Poe if you’d like to help at UNCC this fall. September 8 is the first date and help is needed.

Sign up for Church Mouse

Forms are available to college students or their parents in the lobby to fill out for the “Church Mouse”. If you have questions please see Jaime Poe or email her at jkt1128@gmail.com.

Race Together

Race Together, an engaging and informative series, will be held at McGill each Sunday afternoon from 3-5 beginning September 10 through October 15.  You can email Wendy McConnell at RaceTogetherSeries@gmail.com to enroll. This 6-week series will shed light on historical and social context leading to our current racial situation.
