Dr. Steve Ayers delivers the sermon “All the Saints!” today, Sunday, Nov. 5. Miles Simpson is the deacon of the week. He will read the Old Testament scripture and have the morning prayer. Scriptures are from Matthew 5:1-12 and Psalm 34:1-10, 22.
Operation Christmas Child
The children will pack the Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes this morning, Nov. 5, from 9:30-11:30. All school age children are invited to help.

A church conference will be held today, Nov. 5, at 6 p.m. to answer your questions about the budget for 2018. The church will vote at both services without discussion on November 12.
J.O.Y. Club meeting
Joy Club will meet on Thursday, November 9, at 11:00 a.m. We invite all to come and enjoy a delicious meal and hear our speaker, John Kane, Retired Special Agent – Diplomatic Security. His topic is Overseas Security Challenges. John is the husband of Kim Kane. Come and welcome John and Kim.
15 Years at Poplar Tent
On November 19 we will celebrate 15 years at the 5300 Poplar Tent Road location and the retirement of the debt. There are signup sheets in the back of the sanctuary for the meal that will be served.
Envelopes are available today to order a poinsettia in honor or in memory of a loved one. Cost will be $12. Deadline to order is November 19.
McGill post office
Beginning November 26 through December 17 you can “mail” your Christmas card to our active church members for 25 cents per card. Cards can be left in the lobby and will be distributed to Sunday School classes. All money collected will help our children’s missions.
Coat, toy drive
The Joint Missions Council will begin collecting coats for children up to size 12 and socks and underwear for preschoolers. We will also collect new toys for the Empty Stocking Fund.
Hospice Light Up a Life
