A Mother’s Request – Second Sunday After Epiphany

** We are closely monitoring the winter weather predictions for this weekend. A decision will be made about our Sunday activities by Saturday evening. Please check our social media pages, Constant Contact, and the local news channels for updates.**

We begin our new morning Bible Study this Sunday. We will convene in the sanctuary for a coffee social at 8:45 am and begin the video at 9:00 am. Over the next 10 weeks, we will be doing a church-wide study of Adam Hamilton’s Words of Life: Jesus and the Promise of the Ten Commandments Today. Following the video, we will break out into three discussion groups to talk deeper about the morning video.

Morning worship is at 10:00 am in person or on Facebook or YouTube live. Thecla Matheny is the deacon of the week and will be reading from Isaiah 62:1-5. We will also hear scripture lessons from 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 and John 2:1-11.

The youth and parents will have a dinner meeting on Sunday, January 23rd at 5:00 pm.

OneBlood will hold a blood drive at our church on Monday, January 31st from 2:00 – 7:00 pm. You can register online (link in previous post), or walk in. Please bring an ID and wear a mask.

We are in need of help for the Winter Night Shelter the week of January 30th. We need people to provide meals on February 1st, February 2nd, and February 5th. Please reach out to Donna Duncan or Winfry Whicker if you’re able to help.

Our annual BBQ is scheduled for Friday, April 8th. Stay tuned for the ways you can volunteer and serve!
