Dr. Steve Ayers will deliver the sermon “To Give Light” with scriptures from Luke 1:68-79 and Malachi 3:1-4. Bethany Arrowood will be baptized during the 10:45 service. 

An offering is taken each Sunday in December for Global Missions. The church goal is $4,000. Support CBF literacy ministries and field personnel worldwide.

The McGill Post Office is open in the lobby. You are asked to leave cards only for regularly attending church family. Cost is 25 cent per card. Money collected will go to pay for Children’s Mission Projects.

Today is the last day to sign up for PassportChoices. A deposit of $35 is due also. See Paul if you have questions.

The Youth Progressive Dinner is tonight beginning at 4:30. They will return to the church around 9 p.m.

The Children’s Musical is on Sunday, December 13, at 6 p.m. Please bring your favorite finger food or dessert to share.

The McGill Child Development Center will have their Christmas Program at the church on Friday, December 18, at 3 p.m.

Mission Opportunities

The Cabarrus Partnership for Children is again collecting gently used or new coats for children sizes 12 months up to size 10/12. They are also collecting preschool sized winter items such as gloves, hats and scarves. NEW packages of preschool sized socks and underwear are needed also. A red box is in the lobby for collection.

The Joint Mission Council is collecting gently used clothes for small children to teen- agers for The Upper Room. The box and rack for hanging clothes is in the back of the sanctuary.

The YMCA Empty Stocking Christmas Tree is collecting new toys. Leave your toys in the box in the lobby.
