The McGill Christmas Post Office is open! Let us “deliver” your Christmas holiday cards for only 25¢ each to active members of McGill Baptist Church. We will begin accepting cards today and will begin delivery on Sunday, November 27th. The final day of operation will be Sunday, December 18th. All money donated will go towards Children’s Missions.

CBFNC is taking donations for Hurricane Matthew relief for those who have been devastated by this disaster. You may donate to this fund by making your check to McGill and designate it for CBFNC Hurricane Matthew relief.

The Piedmont Choral Society with the Pfeiffer University Choir and a 25-piece orchestra will present a Christmas concert on Friday, December 4 at 3 pm at Forest Hill Methodist.

Passport Choices meeting

There will be a brief PassportChoices information meeting at 9:30 today.

Thanksgiving Eve service

Thanksgiving Eve service will be this Wednesday at 7 p.m. A simple meal of soup will be served. The Lord’s Supper will be observed.

Fall Festival

The Fall Festival is this Friday, October 28, from 6-8 p.m.  Come and enjoy the cake walk, face painting, games, popcorn, basket raffle, guessing jars and much more. Hot dogs will be sold. Wrapped candy is needed. If you would like to volunteer to help, please see Londa Carroll or Regis McLean today.

If you are bringing cakes or cookies for the Cake Walk on Friday please cut your cake in half and wrap in plastic.  Cookies should be in a zip lock bag. Please bring to the church by 5:30 this Friday.

The Piedmont Prime Time Community Band is presenting “An Autumn Tapestry” today at 4 p.m. at Winkler Middle School. Admission is $5 for ages 12-65.

‘Old Fashioned Hymn Sing’

The 50-voice Piedmont Choral Society will present its annual “Old Fashioned Hymn Sing” today at 3 p.m. at Forest Hill United Methodist Church, 265 Union Street North, Concord.  The free event will feature older traditional, beloved hymns as well as several anthems by the choir.  There will be lots of audience participation with hymn requests and group singing.  Please bring canned goods for Cooperative Christian Ministry.

Christen’s pumpkin patch

The Children’s Ministry is sponsoring a trip to the Pumpkin Patch at Riverbend Farm on Saturday, October 22. Meet there at 3:30. If you would like to eat at the Fresh House Restaurant that day please sign up with Paul.
