Dr. Steve Ayers delivered the sermon “What Is Right?” Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019. Scriptures are from Jeremiah 31:27-34 and Luke 18:1-8. Jeff Young is the deacon of the week. He read the Old Testament lesson and have the morning prayer.

Fall festival

The Fall Festival will be next Friday, October 25, at 6 p.m. There are tubs at the entrances for you to donate wrapped candy for games and prizes.

The youth recently went to the corn maze.

Habitat trip to Dominican Republic

Habitat for Humanity will be making their 4th mission trip to the Dominican Republic March 28 to April 5, 2020. Jim Bramlett, one of the board of directors of Habitat in Cabarrus County, will be here Sunday, October 27, at 6:00 to speak about the upcoming trip. He will go into the details of the trip including costs and what will be expected of each participant. 

Operation Christmas Child

Bring good news and great joy to a child by filling an Operation Christmas Child Shoebox. Boxes are available in the lobby. Please return your box by November 10.

Hot dog help needed

Help is needed to deliver hot dogs on Friday’s between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Please let Winfry Whicker know if you can help.

Budget meetings

The Finance Committee will be having budget meetings on Monday, October 7 and 14, at 7 p.m. to prepare the budget for 2020. Please bring your budget requests to the meeting either tomorrow night or next Monday.

CROP Walk

The annual CROP Walk is on Sunday, October 13, at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill Methodist Church. Please plan to walk or sponsor a walker.
