Children’s trip to splash pad

Calling all children and parents! Come on out to Ray’s Splash Planet next Sunday, February 3, from 2:30 to 4:30. The cost is $8 for kids, $11 for adults and $5 for non swimmers. Don’t forget a towel and change of clothes.

McGill Biscuit Bake Off

The Biscuit Bake Off will be on Saturday, February 9, at 10 a.m. Come and enjoy brunch with all the trimmings. Biscuits will be made by Ken Ayers, Vinnie Farrell, Steve Harrill and Darrel Huskey.

Valentine Banquet

Mark your calendars for the Valentine Banquet on February 15 at 7 p.m. Come and enjoy the food, fun and fellowship. Tickets will be on sale on Sunday.

Children and missions program

The children on Wednesday night each week learn about our field personnel in other countries. Bring your children to be a part of this study. Talk to Susan Pollack if you have questions.

Helping our community

Food on the First is next Sunday, February 3. Items needed for the RAIN closet: toilet tissue, Kleenex, paper towels, dish detergent, cleaning supplies, Clorox, laundry detergent, bar soap.

Recycle greeting cards

Bring your greeting cards to the church to be sent to Earth Inspired Crafts and Education to be repurposed for nursing homes, homeless shelters, children’s hospitals, veterans’ hospitals and service men and women overseas. There is a box in the lobby.

J.O.Y. Club meeting

The JOY Club will meet this Thursday, January 10th, at 11:00 a.m. One of our own McGill members, Phil Stephens, will be speaking about his work with hospitals until his recent retirement. All are invited to come and enjoy a prepared lunch and hear Phil.

Our Sunday night youth will begin meeting next week, January 13.

There will be a very important Passport and Arkansas meeting next Sunday, January 13 at 9:20.

New hymnals

New hymnals have been purchased. The old hymnals will be available for you to pick up to take home if you would like today. Warm clothing collection

We are collecting new or gently used coats for boys and girls from preschool to elementary school ages. Sizes most needed are for 4 & 5 year-old boys and girls. Also needed is new socks and underwear. There is a collection box in the lobby.
