We are collecting new or gently used coats for boysand girls from preschool to elementary school ages. Sizes most needed are for 4& 5 year-old boys and girls. Also needed is new socks and underwear. Thereis a collection box in the lobby.

Rescheduled Christmas concert

The 60voice Piedmont Choral Society will perform its rescheduled Christmas concert onSaturday, January 5, at 4 p.m. at Forest Hill Methodist Church in Concord. Theywill be accompanied by a full orchestra, Don Simmons, piano/organ and directedby Joe Judge. A love offering will be taken and a reception will follow.

Christmas mission offering

CBF Global Missions Offering will be taken through Christmas. Church goal is $5000.00. Collected to date is $1,365.00.

Christmas Pokes

Christmas pokes will be packed on Monday, December 24, at 10 a.m. This tradition was begun at McGill during the Great Depression because the church wanted to make sure every child received a treat. The bags are done in memory of Mr. Arthur Morris by his family because it was so important to him.

Christmas Eve Communion

Join us Christmas Eve and 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. for communion and candle lighting. At the 11 p.m. service we will ring in Christmas Day.

Church office closed

The church office will be closed December 24th, 25th and 26th.

Please donate your greeting cards for Earth Inspired Crafts and Education. They will be recycled for nursing homes, hospitals, veterans and service men and women overseas. A box is in the lobby.

Bear Fruits

This the 3rd Sunday in Advent, Dec. 16, 2018. Today’s sermon, delivered by Dr. Steve Ayers, is “Bear Fruits” with scriptures from Zephaniah 3:14-20 and Luke 3:7-18.

CBF Global Missions Offering

McGill’s goal for this year’s missions offering is $5000. Offerings will be taken through Christmas.

McGill Missions Post Office

The Children’s Missions program is delivering Christmas cards for 25 cents each with proceeds going toward children’s mission projects.

Fruitcake trip

The Senior Adults will be going to the Southern Supreme Fruitcake Factory on Saturday, Dec. 8. They will stop in Siler City for lunch. The bus will leave at 9:45 a.m. See Frances Morris if you would like to go.

Speedway Christmas lights

The Family Life Committee is sponsoring a trip to the Speedway Christmas Lights Saturday, Dec. 8. See Erin Currie if you would like to go or like more information.
