62nd Anniversary Flowers

Wanda and Archie Ritchie

In thanksgiving to God for sixty-two years of marriage and in appreciation for a loving family, the floral arrangement is provided by Archie and Wanda Ritchie. They were married on May 28, 1955 at McGill (Street) Baptist Church. Archie and Wanda are celebrating today with their family: Anne and William Austin; Jeff and Cindy Ritchie; John and Debbie Ritchie, Hannah and Catherine Ritchie; Bob and Courtney Owens, Knox, Nash and JC Owens; Kevin and Kendall Gulledge, Kaleb and Abe Gulledge.

Office closed for Memorial Day

The church office will be closed Monday, May 29, for Memorial Day.

Tai Chi class

The Tai Chi class led by Susan Pollack will not meet next Thursday, June 1. You will meet again on June 8.

Graduate Sunday

Graduate Sunday is June 4. Seniors are asked to wear their cap and gown. The seniors will go out to lunch at Afton Tavern after the service.

Passport meeting

There will be a meeting of those going to Passport on Sunday, June 4, at 9:30 a.m. For those going to Arkansas, there will be a meeting also on June 4 at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be provided. We will go over the crafts for the week.

Items for Operation Christmas Child:  May: Small stuffed animals. June: Small toys. Our goal is to fill 100 shoeboxes this year.

Calling all cowhands!    Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 17th, 10 a.m.-1:00 p.m.    We hope all of our 3 year olds to rising 5th graders will kick off their summer at the McGill Corral.   Music, games, Bible study and FUN await you!    If you are willing to volunteer that day, please see Angie Schmitt or Lauren Simpson.

Music Celebration

The Music Celebration is tonight, May 21, at 6 p.m. Please come and enjoy all the talented musicians at McGill. Please bring a dessert for a time of fellowship following the program.

McGill Child Development graduation

The CDC graduation ceremonies will be at the church this Thursday, May 25, at 10 a.m. and at 7 p.m.

Remembering Glen and Juanita Hartsell

The flowers today are in memory of Glenn and Juanita Hartsell for their 74th wedding anniversary on May 9. They are given with love from Russ and Susan Hartsell, Ronald and Anita Hartsell and Chris and Glenita Riley.

McGill Yard Sale

The yard sale is next Saturday, May 13, from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. BBQ, hot dogs and ham biscuits will be sold. Help is needed this Wednesday afternoon, May 10, to unload the trailer. Help will be needed at 5 a.m. on Saturday to take the merchandise out to the front lawn for the sale. You can bring your donations into the sanctuary on Wednesday. Please see Maria Arrowood if you can help.

‘Race Together’ series

Race Together is a 6-part series from May 15 through June 26 from 6-8 p.m. at McGill. The series is led by Mrs. Wendy McConnell. If you are interested in gaining a better historical and social context about our current racial situation and how we may bridge the gap, this group is for you.
